Maternity Session

I was fortunate to have a maternity photo session with Brooke when I was 38 weeks pregnant with twin boys - talk about leaving it to the last minute! Brooke came to my house and I felt really comfortable being in my own environment.

Brooke's style of photography is natural and simple, a snapshot of the amazing experience of pregnancy. I was so pleased with the results; they definitely capture my style and personality.

Brooke was so professional and as a mother of 4 really understood what I wanted from my maternity photos.

Maternity Session

We had a wonderful time with Brooke whilst she photographed our baby boy and all of us interacting together as a family.

Brooke managed to keep us all feeling comfortable and relaxed whilst she allowed natural moments to unfold. Her flair for creative work with light and our home setting gave us the unique and beautiful photos we now treasure so much.

Months on from having a tiny baby boy, we can see the value of these photos increases every time we look at them. Having captured our baby whilst he was so small keeps those precious memories fresh in our minds (and makes us clucky every time we look at them). Brooke also gave thought to capturing sentimental items which are a part of our journey as new parents. Incorporating this aspect into the photos so naturally gives extra meaning to each image she captured.

I could not recommend this talented photographer enough. We will be coming back to Brooke for a special photo shoot with every new member of our family.

Maternity Session

Brooke is both a friend and talented photographer and I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone looking for some special photos. She did a family photo shoot just after the birth of our second daughter and we were overjoyed with our photos and the whole experience.

My husband was concerned when I told him I had booked in the shoot. He is quite camera shy and does not like a fuss, so we were both nervous in the lead up. However, Brooke's calming and gentle nature put us instantly at ease. Nothing phased Brooke and she took everything in her stride, also no easy feat when dealing with young children! The afternoon was enjoyable and we did not feel uncomfortable or rushed.. even when I had to half undress midway through the shoot to breastfeed.

Brooke understood our request to have natural family photos that didn't feel awkward or staged. She improvised with natural elements around us and took beautiful, simple photos of our family interacting and laughing together. She managed to get a striking shot of my two daughters (a 2yr old and 1wk old) lying together looking directly into the camera. I smile whenever I look at this photo of my girls. She captured precious cuddles with our newborn, my husband throwing our daughter in the air in delight and even my daughter's intrigue when she found a grasshopper in the long grass.

The lighting and colours in the photos were incredible and we were really happy with the quality. Brooke is immensely talented and we will happily get more photos from her in the future. We know we won't be disappointed!

Family & Newborn Session

We are absolutely thrilled with our photo shoot with Brooke Petro Photography!

Brooke is so talented - we just felt like we were going on a casual stroll in the parklands and Brooke managed to capture the most amazing family moments. Our photos are light, natural and candid, exactly what were looking for. I can't imagine it's an easy task to photograph a 5 month old and a 2 year old, at 5pm nonetheless!

Brooke was so accommodating and patient, happy to wait for a quick feed here or a toilet break there. We are grateful to have these priceless memories, and we will definitely be back for another shoot as the kids grow. We have so many brilliant shots, it was difficult to choose just a few to frame and hang on the wall!
